F.A.Q.
This FAQ consists of common questions that we get from Singapore homeowners and some important information you need to know.
Yes! It helps to lower electrical consumption, prevent aircon leakage, reduce the need for repair and provide better cooling. Also, it prolongs the overall lifespan of your aircon unit.
For residential units, we recommend servicing them every 3 months. For commercial units, we recommend every 1-2 months.
It depends on your usage pattern and other environmental factors. You can check out our servicing prices here!
Here are some possible reasons:
- The temperature of your aircon is too high
- The area that the aircon has too cool is too big for its capability
- The fan coil is dirty
- Potential faulty parts
We recommend you to get your aircon serviced. If it does not help, the technician can help you identify the problem and fix it for you.
The blinking/flashing of the indicator light usually indicates a fault with the air conditioning system. It may lead the air conditioner to switch off by itself. It is a protective function to prevent the air conditioner from further damage.
We recommend you to call in an expert to inspect and fix the issue for you.
There can be many causes for this problem. One of the most common causes is when the filters or drainage pipe is blocked. It prevents the condensation from exiting smoothly – that is when your aircon will start to leak.
Avoid having problems by regularly servicing your aircon so that issues like this can be identified and fixed asap.
It could be due to external pollutants like smoke from cigarettes or haze that enter the unit. Another reason could be bacteria formed in the indoor fan coil due to the dark humid environment causing a foul smell.
When this happens, our technicians can conduct a chemical overhaul to help you solve this issue. Book an appointment with us.
Poorly mounted components or the vibration noise from the dirty fan coil can cause your aircon to be noisy. Call us and our technicians can fix it for you.
Definitely! You can wash the filters and clean the fan coil cover by yourself. However, for your safety, it is not recommended to try to fix your aircon personally. It is best to contact your air conditioner servicing provider to ensure your aircon is professionally serviced.
Chemical overhaul is needed if your aircon unit is badly clogged and may cause water leaking and loud noises. It can thoroughly cleanse individual components that general servicing cannot do.
British Thermal Units (BTU). It is the standard measurement of heat that an aircon unit can remove from the area. You will need to know the right BTU for your room before purchasing an aircon. Choose the right BTU as an oversized or undersized BTU will affect your cooling experience.
You can calculate the BTU with the following formula: (length of your room in feet) x (width of your room in feet) x 25
