F.A.Q.
This FAQ consists of common questions that we get from Singapore homeowners and some important information you need to know.
Yes! It helps to lower electrical consumption, prevent aircon leakage, reduce the need for repair and provide better cooling. Also, it prolongs the overall lifespan of your aircon unit.
For residential units, we recommend servicing them every 3 months. For commercial units, we recommend every 1-2 months.
It depends on your usage pattern and other environmental factors. You can check out our servicing prices here!
- The temperature of the air conditioner is too high
- The area that the aircon has too cool is too big for its capability
- The fan coil is dirty
- Potential faulty parts
The blinking/flashing of the indicator light usually indicates a fault with the air conditioning system. It may lead the air conditioner to switch off by itself. It is a protective function to prevent the air conditioner from further damage.
You can book an appointment with our experts as soon as possible to identify and fix the fault.
There can be many causes for this problem. One of the most common causes is when the filters or drainage pipe is blocked. It prevents the condensation from exiting smoothly into the pipe That is when your aircon will start leaking.
Avoid having problems by regularly servicing your aircon so that problems like this can be identified and fixed asap.
- Pollutants like smoke from cigarettes or haze are absorbed by the unit.
- Bacteria formed in the indoor fan coil due to the dark humid environment causing a foul smell
- Poorly mounted components.
- Vibration noise from the dirty fan coil.
Definitely! Washing filters and cleaning the fan coil cover can be done by yourself.
However, for your safety, it is not recommended to personally try fixing other air-conditioner issues. It is best to contact your air conditioner servicing provider to ensure your aircon is thoroughly serviced.
Aircon chemical overhaul is needed if your unit is badly choked – water leak, making loud noises. Chemical overhaul can thoroughly cleanse individual components that general servicing cannot do.
British Thermal Units (BTU). It is the standard measurement of heat that an aircon unit can remove from the area. You will need to know the BTU needed for your room before purchasing an aircon. Choose the right BTU as an oversized or undersized BTU will affect your cooling experience.
The BTU can be easily calculated with the following formula: (length of your room in feet) x (width of your room in feet) x 25
